What's New and Interesting:

  • Co-op Expansion Project - Voter Information

Voting begins on January 26 and ends of February 24, 2026.

Based on membership response to the Expansion Project Survey, four conceptual alternatives for use of the donated Outfitters Building were developed by a committee of members.

Before voting, we encourage members to read downtown strategies' 5-Year Strategic Action Plan for Republic & Curlew.

The alternatives to be voted on are:

1. Local Goods & Clothing Store - Under this alternative, the building would become the Co-op's second retail store that sells local goods and clothing.  The existing Co-op would remain as is. There would be no access between the two buildings.  Read the full description here.

2. Combine the two buildings and expand total coop operations - Under this alternative, the existing Co-op structure along with components of both Alternative 1 and Alternative 3 would be incorporated into the shared space of two buildings.  A portion of the wall between the existing Co-op and the former Outfitters building would be opened, allowing full access between the two buildings.  Read the full description here.

3. Art Gallery, Classes, and Event Center - Under this alternative, the old Outfitters building would be used as a combined space that would include an art gallery, space for holding classes, for maker space, and rented for meetings, concerts, and events.  The existing co-op would remain as is. Read the full description here.

4.  Sell the former Outfitters building.  The existing Co-op remains as is and the former Outfitters building would be sold.  All funds raised would be used to further the mission of the co-op. Read the full description here.

The Meet Locker

Now OPEN for lunch, mini-meetings, coffee breaks, and visiting with friends

Take a few steps further back into the Co-op and into history.  Across the hall from the kitchen, you will step into an old ice cooled meat locker that has been turned into the Co-op's new indoor eating area --- which is now known as "The Meet Locker".  A gathering place for friends
